This dissertation deals with the link between shapes and sounds, through digital Do It Yourself (DIY). I chose this subject because I love music and new technologies, but I am also very interested in the way these two universes complement and evolve in relation to each other. Thus, we will see how to go from sound-shape to something more complex, using digital tools. The term "digital DIY" covers all possible digital manipulations, during the manufacturing process. First of all, we will try to understand how an image or a shape can be produced from a sound and the other way round, and how digital tools accentuate and complicate their interaction. Then, we will question the place of the public/spectator, (the one who sees this interaction) who becomes the actor of this interaction. And how, by immersing themself, they can transform the simple dialogue between sounds and forms into a real audiovisual experience. Finally, we will be able to realize that the immersion of the user can become the starting point of the interaction between sound and form.
